MENU’s 2013 autumn-winter collection, A NEW WAY, won the Accent-On-Design® award at this month’s NY NOW fair in New York. The collection resonates the brand’s new design approach and shows a range of design items with a strong Scandinavian expression, in collaboration with renowned Scandinavian and international designers.
The jury’s motivation for the Best New Collection award: A collection of functional living, dining and outdoor products featuring beautiful Scandinavia design with true originality, each serving as a unique conversation piece.
MENU founder Bjarne Hansen:
“This is highly rewarding. We’re so passionate about design and we’re working hard to translate our new vision: MAKING DESIGN MATTER, into all the aspects of the brand. It’s about creating aesthetically pleasing designs that evoke true feelings, as well as improve processes in people’s daily lives. We’re thrilled to see we’re on the right path”!
The collection includes smaller furniture, tableware and interior items. It also includes a very refined outdoor and bathroom line, designed by Danish based Norm Architects.
“This collection is about soft minimalism, timelessness and durability. We insist on implementing quality in the design process as well as choice of materials and methods. You should look at our designs and continue to find them interesting for a long time, says MENU’s Head of Design”, Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen.
